Technical devices are wirelessly connected to each other and within networks as part of our mobile and dynamic lives. Besides established technologies like RFID and LTE, new transmission standards like Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth technologies like beacons have found their way into users’ everyday lives.
In future, the use of the 5G standard will set up a much higher bandwidth and higher transmission speed, so that data size is no longer a restrictive factor. Data is also increasingly being transferred via light, such as with Li-Fi. One day soon, energy will also be transferred wirelessly via magnetic fields or sound, thus ensuring the simple recharging of battery-powered devices.
